PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE (PPL):
Requires a minimum of 45 hours of training with most people taking 60 or more hours. This license allows you to fly solo or carry passengers anywhere in canada and across the border during the daytime in visual flight rules (VFR). Since many countries recognize our licenses, you can also convert this license to a foreign one, or obtain tourist flying privileges in many other countries. To hold a private pilot license you must be 17 years of age and posses a category 1 or category 3 medical certificate.

NIGHT RATING:
A night endorse added on to a private pilot license allows the holder to fly during the hours of darkness in visual meteorological conditions under visual flight rules. The minimum training time is approximately 15 hours. There is no flight test or written examination.
INSTRUMENT RATING (IR) :
An instrument rating allows the pilot to take off and land without having visual reference to the ground except for a short duration before take-off or landing : in short , to fly into and then navigate through clouds . All navigation is performed by reference to required instruments in the aircraft.
Prerequisites: (PPL)
- Be at least 17 years of age at the completion of course;
- Be the holder of a category 1 or 3 medical certificates after a medical examination by Canadian Aviation Medical Examiner.
